MAKING MY OWN GANESHA

Well… It’s August 23, 2017 and a beautiful Wednesday. Today, I went to DB City Mall to attend a workshop “Making My Own Ganesha” where the artists were teaching you how to make your own eco-friendly Ganesha from paper-mesh clay.  When I started from home all I knew it was a workshop but when I reached the venue I got to know it was a competition…. Lol….. Forget about winning the competition, I never ever even worked with clay in my whole life. But for me, it was never about the competition, it was just about participating, meeting new people, learning a new thing and having a memorable experience. And yes I guess that’s how the life should be- a platform to create and cherish memories rather than keeping the score card of your success and failures. And I encourage you all to also have this attitude as the only power we have in our life is our attitude and that makes all the difference. So, get out and create stuff and forget about being judged. Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.

Back to the event. It was a lovely experience. I MADE MY OWN GANESHA. Woahhhh!!!! Well, I should rather put my words the other way – I GOT MY GANESHA MADE because 90% of my Ganesha was made my other senior artists who were hosting the event. LOL!!!! But I must say the other artists participating in the competition were really talented. I was amazed to see their creativity.

There was also the lovely exhibition of Ganesha paintings made by local artists and there were also some paintings made by international artists. And believe me guys, those paintings were just WoW!

Well…. To sum up it was a lovely day, I learnt a new form of art, met lovely and wonderful artists. The day was a SUCCESSS!!!
