Lavasa is a beautiful well-planned hill city near Pune at a distance of 65 Km, which is about an hour’s drive.
Its enchanting natural beauty is a treat for eyes. It is a tourist hotspot and a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life.
It is spread across 7 hills, covering an area of 25000 acres and has picturesque scenery and extremely well-developed infrastructure. The architectural design is based on the Italian town named Portofino, with a street and several buildings bearing the name of that town.
There are also various hotel options available to stay and experience the aura/vibe of the city. Well…. Personally speaking, whenever you stay at a place, you have a altogether different experience and perspective about the place, it’s culture, it’s beauty, it’s vibe, it’s people, it’s food and the list goes on!!!! I just visited Lavasa for few hours but I would really like to come back here and stay here for a while.
We reached the place during sunset and I gotta say that this place knows how to beautifully say adieu to the sunshine. Taking a walk around the well-planned city is a must before indulging in any other activities.
The thing that enticed us the most was the open concert that was going on at the streets. It was such an exhilarating experience. The artists were so talented, their music just left us swaying to the beat. We loved the atmosphere and energy of the venue.
There is also a flea market that is set-up every evening. I really love flea markets. You get to see so many beautiful things from all around the place in just one place. I have so much adoration, appreciation and love for art and flea market is the place where you can find the most artistic things.
The whole atmosphere at night was totally romantic and mesmerising. Each corner of this place is magical.
Entrance: We paid Rs.500 for our car to enter into the city of Lavasa.
Best time to Visit: You can travel this city anytime as it has a pleasant atmosphere.
How to Reach: Regular bus and taxi services are available for the city of Lavasa. There is, however, no direct train or flight connectivity to Lavasa. Lonavala, which is 29 km away from this city has the nearest railway station and Pune Airport is the nearest airport which is 67.9 km from Lavasa.
