
Coriander Chutney is a staple in Indian food. If you love Indian food, then you must have definitely come across the coriander chutney which is also known as cilantro chutney.
Indian meals (especially snacks and appetizers) are often incomplete without a side of this chutney.
The thing about this chutney is that it is a very simple chutney recipe to prepare and it is so versatile. You can use it on sandwiches, wraps, rolls, salads and is also the perfect accompaniment to naan, tikki, samosa, parathas, pakoras, the list is really too long. Basically, it tastes great with anything & everything!

Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped coriander leaves (also known as cilantro), tightly packed
- 2 green chilies (add more or less depending on the spiciness you prefer)
- 1 inch ginger
- ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (add more or less according to your preference)
- 2 to 3 pinches black salt
- salt as required (I used pink salt)
- ¼ teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/3 cup water
Directions
- Put everything in a blender.
- Grind all the ingredients until smooth.
- Enjoy!!!
Storage
You can store this coriander chutney in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
Tips
This chutney is easily customizable according to your personal preference. Consider it as a draft. You be the master experimenter and adjust the quantity of chilies, lemon juice and spices to fit your taste buds.
